A coupe is a stemmed glass with a wide, shallow bowl, used for cocktails served up with no ice.

In practice
It usually holds 5 to 7 oz. The stem keeps your hand from warming the drink, and the curved bowl is harder to spill than a V-shaped cocktail glass. Daiquiris, sours and many stirred drinks are served in a coupe.
