How to make an Abbey Martini
To make an Abbey Martini, shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass: 3 oz gin, 1½ oz sweet vermouth, 1½ oz orange juice and 3 dashes Angostura Bitters.

Chill a cocktail glass: fill it with ice and water while you mix, then tip it out.

Add gin, sweet vermouth, orange juice and Angostura bitters to a cocktail shaker.

Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.
Why shake? Orange juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
