How to make a Gentleman's Club
To make a Gentleman's Club, stir with ice and strain into a rocks glass: 1½ oz gin, 1 oz brandy, 1 oz sweet vermouth and 1 oz club soda.
You'll need
- Gin1½ oz
- Brandy1 oz
- Sweet Vermouth1 oz
- Club soda1 oz
Prefer it short? Skip the soda: that's the Victor.
Instructions
- 1
Pour gin, brandy and sweet vermouth into a mixing glass (any sturdy glass works).
- 2
Fill it with ice.
- 3
Stir for 20-30 seconds, until the outside is cold to the touch.
- 4
Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube.
- 5
Top with club soda.
- 6
Give it one gentle stir.
Why stir? Gin, brandy and sweet vermouth are clear, so a gentle stir over ice chills and dilutes them without clouding the drink.
