How to make a Boston Sidecar

To make a Boston Sidecar, shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass: ¾ oz light rum, ¾ oz brandy, ¾ oz Triple sec and ½ oz lime.

    Chill a cocktail glass: fill it with ice and water while you mix, then tip it out.

    Add light rum, brandy, triple sec and lime juice to a cocktail shaker.

    Fill the shaker with ice.

    Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

    Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.

Why shake? Lime juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
