How to make an Adam Bomb

To make an Adam Bomb, blend with ice and pour into a margarita glass: 1 oz rum, 1 oz vodka, 1 oz tequila, ½ oz Triple sec, 1 fruit and fruit juice. Garnish with salt.

You'll need

1 drink

Instructions

  1. 1

Rim the glass: run a lime or lemon wedge around the outside edge, then roll the edge in salt on a small plate.

  2. 2

Add fruit, rum, vodka, tequila, triple sec and fruit juice to a blender with about a cup of ice.

  3. 3

Blend until smooth, about 20-30 seconds (add a little more ice if you want it thicker).

  4. 4

    Pour into a margarita glass.

Why blend? Blending rum and vodka with ice gives a smooth, frozen texture.

Adam Bomb questions

What does an Adam Bomb taste like, and is it sweet?

Yes, it's on the sweet side: it's mostly fruity and sweet, with a noticeable alcohol warmth. It's a strong drink at about 21% ABV once mixed.

How much alcohol is in an Adam Bomb?

About 21% ABV after mixing with ice, stronger than wine, lighter than a neat spirit.

What's the difference between an Adam Bomb and a 155 Belmont?

Both use rum and vodka. The Adam Bomb adds tequila, Triple sec and fruit juice, while the 155 Belmont uses dark rum and orange juice. Both are blended, but the Adam Bomb goes in a margarita glass and the 155 Belmont in a wine glass.

What can I use instead of triple sec?

Cointreau or Grand Marnier will work.

What glass do you serve an Adam Bomb in?

A margarita glass.
