To make a Ruby Tuesday, shake with ice and strain into a highball glass: 2 oz gin, 5 oz cranberry juice and ½ oz grenadine.

    Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

Why shake? Cranberry juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
