How to make an Orange Oasis

To make an Orange Oasis, shake with ice and strain into a highball glass: ½ oz Cherry brandy, 1½ oz gin, 4 oz orange juice and 3 oz ginger ale.

    Add cherry brandy, gin and orange juice to a cocktail shaker.

    Fill the shaker with ice.

    Shake hard for 10-15 seconds, until the outside is frosty.

    Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice cubes.

    Top with ginger ale.

    Give it one gentle stir.

Why shake? Orange juice needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
