Godchild questions
What does a Godchild taste like?
Mostly creamy and sweet. It's a strong drink at about 17% ABV once mixed.
How strong is a Godchild?
About 17% ABV after mixing with ice, stronger than wine, lighter than a neat spirit.
What's the difference between a Godchild and a Butter Baby?
Both use vodka and heavy cream. The Godchild adds Amaretto, while the Butter Baby uses vanilla ice-cream and Butterscotch schnapps. The Godchild is shaken and served in a champagne flute; the Butter Baby is blended and served in a mug. The Godchild is the stronger of the two.
Should a Godchild be shaken or stirred?
Shaken: heavy cream needs a hard shake to mix and chill properly.
What can I use instead of amaretto?
Orgeat syrup (no alcohol) or Frangelico will work.
What glass do you serve a Godchild in?
A champagne flute.
