How to make a Coffee Liqueur
To make a Coffee Liqueur, make ahead, rest, then serve from a highball glass: 5 oz coffee, 2 oz vanilla extract, 20 oz sugar, 31½ oz vodka and 20 oz water.

Heat coffee, vanilla extract, sugar and water in a saucepan, stirring, until any sugar dissolves.

Let it cool completely.

Stir in vodka.

Seal it in a clean jar or bottle and let it rest somewhere cool and dark for at least a week (longer is smoother), shaking it now and then.

Strain out any solids.

Serve it chilled, over ice or in cocktails.
